Artificial Intelligence in Cloud Computing: A Systematic Review of Architectures and Applications
Abstract
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud computing has transformed modern digital infrastructures by enabling intelligent, scalable, and automated computational services. This review paper examines the evolution of AI-driven cloud computing architectures and their applications across industries such as healthcare, finance, education, and smart manufacturing. The study critically reviews machine learning, deep learning, and cloud-native AI frameworks used for resource optimization, intelligent automation, predictive maintenance, and service orchestration in cloud environments. Existing literature is synthesized to identify major technological advancements, deployment models, and performance evaluation techniques in AI-enabled cloud systems. The paper further discusses challenges related to latency, scalability, energy consumption, cybersecurity, and ethical AI governance. The review concludes that AI-powered cloud ecosystems will continue to play a critical role in next-generation digital transformation and intelligent service delivery.
